Casting Vision

Where there is no vision, the people perish

Greetings!  Today I would like to talk about casting vision.  Proverbs 29:18 says, ‘Where there is no vision, the people perish:’ This simply means that as a leader you will need to cast vision to everyone.  To people currently on your team and also to your prospects while presenting your business.  If you don’t continually cast vision, people will start dropping out of your business.  In our industry, those customers and distributors are how we get paid, so never stop casting vision!

Let’s first look at casting vision to prospects and future prospects that you want to share your business with.  When you cast vision, you are telling your prospect not only where you have been, where you are now, but where you see yourself and them in the next two or three years.  It can be as simple as saying, “For the next three years, we are going to lock arms, take this city by storm, and put in a thousand people.  Then we are going to party in our huge mansions, driving our Lamborghini’s, taking month long vacations on the sandy beaches of Tahiti.”  You could also say that you can see both of you walking across stage at the next company event hitting a particular rank of the company, qualifying both of you for one of your companies all-inclusive vacation getaways.

When you cast vision to you prospect, it helps them picture where they are headed when they lock arms with you, and how your business opportunity can get help get them there.  Vision casting is simply sharing where you are going and that you are willing to take them with you if they choose to get started today.

The next thing you have to do is cast vision to your team.  Those are the people that are already involved in your business.  They have already said yes, but have somehow lost their passion to reach for their dreams.  You as their leader need to keep the dreams alive by casting vision on where you are going and invite everyone to come with you.  You see yourself on a 50 foot catamaran in the crystal clear waters of the British Virgin Islands.  It is sunset and you are eating Anegada lobster with the delicious rich and creamy butter sauce, while watching your kids splash and play on the beach.  If they just keep pushing forward to reach their dreams, then together you will be making memories like this very soon.

Once you start incorporating vision casting into your business plan you will be amazed at how this can change the course of your business not only for you, but for your entire team.
